Graeme Parker
Graeme is a Consultant for Dragonfly Acoustics and is responsible for on-site assessments and surveys in addition to expanding our range of services for Noise at Work and Hand Arm Vibration (HAVS) assessments.
Graeme has a BSc (Hons) degree in Biological Sciences from Lancaster University.
Graeme started his career working for a Yorkshire based British Standards laboratory. He then spent 4 years working for North Yorkshire Police before moving to the private sector with NPower.
Graeme joined Dragonfly Acoustics in June 2009 and divides his time between consultancy work and studying for a Post Graduate Diploma in Acoustics (DIPAC) at Leeds Metropolitan University. Graeme is an Affiliate Member of the Institute of Acoustics.
Some of the projects Graeme has worked on recently include:
- Planning Noise Assessment of a 120+ housing development in Sunderland;
- Acoustic Design and BREAAM Assessment for a 5 storey office development in Leeds city centre;
- Noise At Work Assessment for a major university in Derbyshire;
- Hand Arm Vibration Study and Assessment for a national utilities company.
In his spare time Graeme is Player/Manager and Club Secretary for Hambleton FC and plays cricket for Burn CC.
