The issues related with these venues can range from nuisance associated with loud music, patrons in beer gardens and external smoking areas; to workplace noise issues for staff in a persistently loud environment.

Ground borne vibration is vibration that is passed into the ground from sources such as railways and roads, or by processes such as piling and blasting and is usually a low frequency vibration. This vibration can be transmitted over significant distances and then pass into buildings where it can affect both the occupants and the building structure itself.
