Well Done to Dragonfly's Dragon Boat Crew

Well done to Graeme, Emma and Chris, who took their places in the MAKE-YORK team's Dragon Boat for the 2010 York Rotary Dragon Boat Challenge on Sunday. As part of a team of 18, which also included Solicitors, Graphic Designers, Journalists and Accountants, our three rowed to one win and three third place finishes. In the process the team raised nearly £1500 for their nominated charity, Our Celebration and for St Leonards Hospice, this years Rotary Charity.
Particular congratulations are due to Emma who raised the grand total of £140.00 of that total on her own! The challenge was ultimately won by a team from City of York Rowing Club. However the MAKE-YORK team did very well with a creditable best time of 1:07.84. Not bad when the winning team from a rowing club finished in 0:56.11.
The team would also like to thank Simon Rogers, from Aviva for his fantastic efforts in organising the team and for his fabulous sartorial elegance!
