The Government's new planning legisalation, The Planning Bill, may remove the public's rights to complain about a noise nuisance, A new clause in the legislation may give developers a blanket exemption from statutory nuisance complaints, including those associated with noise nuisance. Under the new legislation developments permitted by the proposed planning quango, The Infrastructure Planning Comission (IPC) , would be exempt from statutory nuisance legislation and the public would be able to apply for compensation if they suffer a nuisance. Crucially however, the nuisance will still continue. More information on this story is available via the following Link.
